It was a shocking elimination night on American Idol as judge-favourite Pia Toscano was eliminated and Jennifer Lopez was left red-faced by Iggy Pop. Toscano was kicked off the singing competition after the viewer vote, much to the dismay of the judges. Just eight contestants now remain. "I can't believe what just happened here," said J-Lo. "I'm shocked and angry – I don't know what to say." Randy Jackson added, "I'm with Jennifer, all in shock." Jennifer Lopez had to look away during Iggy Pop's performance of Wild One as he gyrated his hips just inches from her face during his performance. She was the last judge to her feet to applaud the legendary punk rocker.
